A Saudi Arabia Work Visa is a mandatory requirement for foreign nationals who have secured employment with a company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It grants legal permission to live and work in the country for a specified period, usually tied to the terms of the employment contract.

Who Needs a Saudi Work Visa?

Anyone who is not a Saudi citizen and intends to work in Saudi Arabia must obtain a valid work visa. This includes:

  • Professionals who have received a job offer from a Saudi-based company

  • Skilled workers, technicians, and consultants

  • Employees relocating as part of an international assignment

  • Individuals applying through government or private sector employment programs

Please note: A business visa does not permit paid employment. A work visa is required for any paid role or long-term assignment.

Requirements for a Saudi Arabia Business Visit Visa

If you are travelling to live and work in Saudi Arabia, you will need to apply for a Saudi Work Visa, which allows you to stay in the Kingdom for an extended period under a valid employment contract. Unlike short-term visit visas, this process involves several formalities, including document attestation, a medical examination, and approval from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Saudi Work Visa requires in-person biometric submission at a designated Visa Application Centre, as well as coordination with your sponsoring employer in Saudi Arabia.

1) Send us the following documents by post for us to check and to stamp your Supporting Letter.

  1. Passport (must be valid for more than 6 months + at least two blank pages facing each other).
  2. Two passport sized photos (must be recently taken + white background).
  3. Complete the Saudi Business Visa application form (available in page 1 of our Pack).
  4. Visa invitation letter from your Saudi sponsor.
  5. Supporting/introduction letter from your UK company/department like the Saudi embassy template (page 2 of our Pack). This letter must be stamped from the British Chamber of Commerce, we offer this service.
  6. Fill the Saudi Medical Insurance Form. Note: put your UK address.  (page 3 of our Pack).
  7. Read and sign the Declaration Form (page 4 & 5 of  our Pack).

2) Then we will fill out the online visa form on your behalf and book for you the biometric appointment in London.

  1. We will call / email you for your availability so we book a time suitable for you.
    • Suggested times: Monday-Thursday 10am-2pm, Friday 9am-11am, 3-4pm.
  2. We will meet you at the Saudi Visa Centre in London with your checked documents and stamped supporting letter.

Family Residence Visa

Yes, if you are travelling to Saudi Arabia on a valid work visa, you can apply to bring your immediate family members—such as your spouse and children—through a family residency (dependent) visa, commonly referred to as a “Iqama for Dependents.”

However, this is a separate application process and is subject to specific requirements, including:

  • A valid work visa and Iqama for the primary applicant (employee)

  • Proof of marriage (for spouse) and birth certificates (for children), all attested by relevant authorities and the Saudi Embassy

  • Evidence of sufficient salary/income level to support dependents

  • Medical examinations for all family members may also be required

  • Accommodation details in Saudi Arabia

1. Employment Without a Work Visa Is Illegal

Foreign nationals must not engage in any paid employment in Saudi Arabia without holding a valid work visa and Iqama (residency permit). Working on a business visit visa or tourist visa is strictly prohibited and may result in fines, deportation, and a ban from re-entry.

Your Saudi work visa is tied to the sponsoring employer listed in your application. You cannot switch jobs or work for another company without going through the proper transfer and sponsorship change procedures within Saudi Arabia.
