Entry Requirements for British Citizens
Based on the UK Government's travel advice for Kuwait, these are the key points to plan around:
- Visa: You can get a visa on arrival in Kuwait or online.
- Passport validity: Your passport must have an expiry date at least 6 months after the date you arrive.
- At the border: You must be able to show a ticket for return or onward travel and proof of your accommodation, for example a hotel booking.
- Born in certain countries: British citizens born in Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Sudan, Syria or Yemen are not eligible for a visa on arrival and must obtain a visa from the Kuwaiti Embassy before travelling.
Work and Residency Visas for Kuwait
For work or residency visas, applications are made to the Kuwaiti Embassy in London. A residency visa requires a passport that is valid for at least 2 years.
